Rich man’s son, Yassa, came to the Buddha to beome a monk

After the sangha had appeared before the Buddha, one day a lad by the name of Yassa, a rich man’s son who lived in Sena village near the city of Varanasi, left his house quietly at dead of night in search of the Dhamma because he had become tired of the life of luxury. When he arrived at Migadavun Park, he paid homage the Buddha and said: “I want to seek the Dhamma. Oh, Lord, please make me a monk.”

At dawn the Buhdha made Yassa a monk.
